Visitors can enjoy guided boat tours or paddle their own boats as they encounter the hundreds of species of plant and animal life, including the often photographed alligators. The park, a wildlife sanctuary, is located 8 miles south of Waycross, Georgia on highway US 1/23. Many overnight facilities are available in the Waycross area, including camping at nearby Laura S. Walker State Park. An admission charge goes towards operating and developing the park.
